Marks & Spencer Autumn picks

Autumn is launching all over the high street right now. Marks & Spencer have come with a big statement about their fashion and it’s with ‘big energy’.

No longer just about knickers and grey school trousers, the brand is pushing its fashionability giving it’s departments a fresh new drive for the season ahead. The styling of the brands marketing campaign still remains to be the best part, sometimes in real life the pieces they are pushing are still. not as fashion forward as they are styled.

I still find M&S tricky to shop instore, the layout and the merchandising still looks dated and I can’t often find pieces I am looking for because they have been put back with other pieces that you perhaps would not wear with it. Online is better but often the best things go out of stock super quickly. Whilst shopping with a client in M&S the other day I did a try on and pulled some outfits together of the pieces I liked whilst in store.

The online range is much more extensive and I love mixing up the different trends they have chosen to back this season. I have pulled together 2 mood boards of pieces I love at the moment. One is for COOL tones and one is for WARM tones.

Blue blouse

Black jumper

Stripe rugby top

Pink blazer

Navy trousers

sequin skirt

Brand focus: ARKET

Arket smashed it’s way onto the UK high street in 2017 just after it’s launch by the H&M group. Since then its popularity has grown season upon season truly embedding itself into every fashionista’s wardrobe.

The brands aesthetic is clean, minimal, simplicity and timeless. It has a definite Scandinavian feel to the look of the brand and one you truly want to buy into. It is a lifestyle brand with the offering of womens, mens, children and baby means you can dress your whole family in the same coolness together. They also have a homewear edit so this can continue on through your home too.

I my experience of Arket buying it for myself, recommending it to clients and seeing the items in their wardrobe is the quality. The heavy weight t-shirt in white, black and colours is the ultimate perfect t-shirt, I have been wearing it for years and I have not found a better version.

I always get asked about my satin maxi skirt if the quality is any good and it has the best weight to it, I cannot recommend it enough and love the other colourways.

What I love about the brand is that everything is wearable, good quality and reasonably priced. There are not alot of brands that fit that mould on the high street anymore. You don’t have to break the bank to buy a new jumper, a pair of great fitting jeans or a new coat. The brand is strong and you can find everything you want to fill your wardrobe. They are definitely a go-to brand for me, depending on the seasons colour palette they will serve me up wardrobe hero’s and whole outfits I will want to wear and rewear.

My Arket yellow roll neck that comes in black, navy & camel colourway this season

If you are stuck with new brands to shop then Arket should be on your radar. I have pulled together an outfit for each colour season to show that you can easily make up looks and outfits from their current online offering.

Most people shop online and most people prefer it over shopping in person. You might be time poor, you might not enjoy going out and shopping, using changing rooms or getting over whelmed by the shops full of clothes. Me, I love shopping in person which is why I do it for a living. But I also love shopping online. One of my most popular services are my online shopping look books.

Online shopping can come with its downfalls. Endless doom scrolling to find what you want. Not knowing what you want so using search tools to try to find pieces you like. Not knowing where to look so going back to old faithful brands that no longer suit you. Receiving the items and they don’t fit properly, you don’t know if you like it, if it suits you or if it’s quite what you were looking for. All resulting in having to send it back. That’s if you even manage to do that. Sound familiar?

That’s why my online shopping look book edits service is so popular. I do all the searching for you. I find you the perfect pieces from places you might never of heard of and items you would never of chosen. You receive them and there is no need to send them back because you love it and it fits! Choosing pieces that are perfect for you, your lifestyle and your budget is something I love to do. It is also something I do daily. I am constantly shopping for clients so I can make it look easy.

Now is a great time so refresh your wardrobe with some new pieces. I have 3 different online shopping look books to choose from, but this time of year I would advise you to think about how many pieces you need to add into your wardrobe. We are getting ready for Spring but weather wise we aren’t quite there yet so maybe you just want 5 new pieces to add in to update your wardrobe now and then do a seasonal look book in April when the best Spring bits are out. You might have a work trip coming up so need some pieces to add in, a holiday or weekend away and you want some new pieces to take with you. Whatever is on your mind we can discuss what you need and I can advise on which size look book to do.

Online personal shopping wardrobe update (approx 25 items across clothes & accessories) - £135.00

Online personal shopping small seasonal update (approx 15 items across clothes & accessories) - £95.00

Style fix online shopping 5 items - £40.00

Online personal shopping special occasion - £95.00

If you are still unsure then I would suggest a wardrobe review before you buy anything new.

This time of year I make a Spring wishlist. Pieces that have caught my eye over the weeks, items I might need or want in my wardrobe and I am excited about. I might bookmark them, wait for a discount code to buy them or just be searching for the right piece before I buy anything. My current wishlist is at the top of this blog post. Out of the 5 pieces I have bought 4 of them already and I am already wearing them because I love them so much! It revitilises the way I feel about my wardrobe, gives me something to get excited about and knowing I will continue wearing them for weeks to come means I have made a good investment.
