Edits guide on how to look sharp in citrus yellow

Yellow, citrus, lemon, buttercup, the list could go on as to what you can name it. But this spring summer season it is set to be the biggest colour of the year, hot from being a slower burner at the end of last Summer. There are some fantastic vibrant shades out there on the high street or designer, but beware, the downside is that yellow doesnt suit every colouring. So proceed with caution by adding the colour to accessories, such as shoes or bags, or if you have the right skin tone, colour block from head to toe! Find out which colours suit you most with an appointment with me today.

See Edits yellow gallery of inspiration.

How to wear yellow...

When a new colour trend comes along, it's best to start small, with accessories like shoes, bags or sunglasses. Then you can gradually work your into incorporating citrus separates into your everyday wardrobe- a lemon shirt with your blue jeans. Another great tip is to pair it with black. It looks sophisticated, on-trend and cool when worn with a black skirt, black heels or a black leather jacket to give it an edge.

Flirty Florals

An explosion of florals burst from the SS14 catwalks and has now landed on the high street.

This year it's not about the dainty, itsy-bitsy floral prints. No, in fact, bigger is better. Look for 3D embellished crystal as seen at Mary Katrantzou, hand-drawn poppies at Jonathan Saunders and big oversized blooms at Versace.

See my catwalk to celebrity to high street floral favourites.

Check out these celebrities and how to wear this trend from the high street.

1. Miranda Kerr

2. Emma Watson

3. Poppy Delvinge

How do you wear this trend? The trick to wearing florals in real life is to go big and bold in the print. Wearing masculine pieces such as tailored jackets and sweatshirts will ensure you will look a million miles away from a bridesmaid! See my pick of the high street below...

2.  Zara printed floral dress £39.99
